Job summary

Magnus Consulting Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to own the health and evolution of multiple technology assets. You will provide technical leadership across COEs and drive platform engineering, automation, and reliability across the enterprise.

Responsibilities include ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on integration and messaging.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in Systems/Platform Engineering.
• 4+ years Kafka Administration (Confluent Platform/Confluent Cloud).
• Strong DevOps and automation skills: Python, Bash, CI/CD, Terraform, Ansible.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Cloud experience, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Solid Kafka security knowledge: TLS/SSL, SASL, ACLs.
• Experience with observability/monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, Azure Monitor.

Responsibilities

• Own and be accountable for evolution, stability, and health of multiple assets.
• Provide technical leadership across Centres of Excellence (COEs).
• Drive platform engineering practices, automation, reliability, and ops excellence.
• Ensure platform availability, performance, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for enterprise integration and messaging.
