Job summary

Magnus Consulting Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to own the health and evolution of multiple technology assets. You will provide technical leadership across COEs and drive platform engineering, automation, and reliability across the enterprise.

Responsibilities include ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on integration and messaging.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in Systems/Platform Engineering.
• 4+ years Kafka Administration (Confluent Platform/Confluent Cloud).
• Strong DevOps and automation skills: Python, Bash, CI/CD, Terraform, Ansible.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Cloud experience, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Solid Kafka security knowledge: TLS/SSL, SASL, ACLs.
• Experience with observability/monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, Azure Monitor.

• Drive platform engineering best practices, automation, reliability, and operational excellence.
• Ensure platform availability, performance, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support enterprise integration and messaging requirements.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of experience in Systems / Platform Engineering.
• 4+ years of hands-on Kafka Administration experience:
  • Preferably Confluent Platform and/or Confluent Cloud.
• Strong DevOps and Automation skills:
