Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of, or a strong interest in, cattle production and feedlot management.
• Ability to recognise disease symptoms in cattle.
• Good administrative and record-keeping skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with and lead staff.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and gain practical experience.
• Physically fit, healthy, and willing to work in a farm environment.

Responsabilités

• Day-to-day management of feedlot activities.
• Monitoring animal health and early identification of sick animals.
• Administering and coordinating treatments and disease processing.
• Managing and implementing feeding programmes and rations.
• Collaborating with veterinarians and nutrition consultants.
• Supervising staff and ensuring effective team management.
• Maintaining records and administering feedlot data (weights, treatments, feed intake, etc.).
• Assisting with the management of the breeding herd when required.
• Ensuring compliance with biosecurity and management protocols.
