Placements24 seeks a motivated Junior Civil Engineer to join a leading structural design firm in Centurion. You will work under experienced engineers to contribute to building project designs and learn foundational structural principles.

This entry-level role offers mentorship, exposure to SANS codes, hands-on design work, site visits, and collaboration with architects and other consultants to support successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• BSc or BEng in Civil Engineering with a structural specialization.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience in structural design or analysis.
• Familiarity with structural design codes (e.g., SANS 10160, SANS 10162).
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS, Prokon).

Responsibilities

• Assist in the structural analysis and design of building components using engineering software.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and reports.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Collaborate with architects and other consultants on project design coordination.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical support to project teams.
• Learn and apply industry best practices in structural engineering.
