Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer with a specialty in Structural Design for a contract role based in Centurion, South Africa. The successful candidate will oversee structural integrity and design across diverse projects, ensuring safety, compliance, and innovative solutions in a fast-paced consultancy environment.

You will collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines, delivering detailed analyses, drawings, and specifications while applying national codes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering design.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000).
• Strong knowledge of building materials and construction methods.
• Experience with reinforced concrete and steel structures.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications using specialized software.
• Review shop drawings and provide construction support to ensure adherence to design intent.
• Conduct structural assessments and provide recommendations for existing structures.
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and construction teams.
