Job summary

MultiFab is seeking a junior/structural draftsperson to support the design and fabrication team. You will prepare structural and fabrication drawings, interpret technical information, and revise drawings under supervision to ensure accuracy and compliance with project standards.

Working closely with engineers, project managers and the workshop, you will assist with material lists, site measurements and records management, while developing CAD skills including AutoCAD and Advance Steel in a

Qualifications

• 1–3 years experience as Junior/Structural Draftsperson preferred
• Grade 12 / Matric is required
• Draughting qualification or relevant technical qualification advantageous
• Basic to intermediate AutoCAD proficiency
• Basic understanding of structural steel & fabrication drawings
• Ability to read & interpret engineering & technical drawings
• Basic understanding of fabrication & construction processes
• Good attention to detail & accuracy
• Good communication & problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently & as part of a team
• Willingness to learn & develop technical skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Experience with Advance Steel advantageous

Responsibilities

• Maintain drawing records & document control
• Assist with site measurements
• Work closely with the workshop to ensure drawings are practical & suitable for fabrication
• Ensure work is completed accurately & within project deadlines
