Job summary

Freerecruit in Paarl is seeking a motivated Junior Site Manager to support daily site operations within the construction and specialist installations sector. The role offers a monthly package of R15,000–R20,000 plus a Company Vehicle, Fuel Allowance and Company Phone.

You will work with an experienced team, supervising site activities and coordinating with contractors while developing leadership and site-management skills for future progression.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a construction or site-based environment.
• Junior supervisory or site-management experience advantageous.
• Exposure to ceilings, drywalling, partitioning, shopfitting, glass/aluminium or related trades advantageous.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Confident working with contractors and site teams.
• Basic ability to interpret plans, drawings and specifications.
• Good communication skills.
• Practical problem-solving ability.
• Willingness to learn and take responsibility.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Reliable, professional and hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily coordination and management of assigned sites.
• Supervise teams and monitor daily work and productivity.
• Assist with planning labour, materials and site activities.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure required quality standards are maintained.
• Check progress against project schedules and report potential delays.
• Assist with coordinating contractors, suppliers and deliveries.
• Ensure teams understand daily priorities and project requirements.
• Assist with site inspections, measurements and progress reporting.
• Communicate site issues promptly to senior management.
• Help ensure health and safety procedures are followed.
• Assist with snagging and project completion.
• Develop the practical site-management skills required to progress into a senior role.
