Job summary

Freerecruit seeks a proactive Junior Site Manager to support Gauteng-site operations. You will coordinate staff, contractors and deliveries, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to plans and project requirements across assigned sites.

Applicants should have prior site exposure, a valid driver’s licence, and a practical, solutions-focused approach. Growth into a capable Site Manager is available within the team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a construction or site-based environment.
• Junior supervisory or site-management experience advantageous
• Experience within ceilings, drywalling, partitioning, shopfitting, glass/aluminium or related trades advantageous
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate confidently with site teams and contractors
• Basic understanding of plans, drawings and specifications
• Practical and solutions-focused approach
• Willingness to learn and develop within the business
• Valid driver’s licence
• Reliable, professional and able to work independently when required

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing day-to-day activities across assigned sites
• Coordinate workers, contractors, materials and deliveries
• Monitor work quality and progress throughout projects
• Ensure teams are working according to plans and project requirements
• Assist with planning daily and weekly site activities
• Identify potential delays, shortages or site problems and escalade these promptly
• Assist with maintaining health and safety standards
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers and other site stakeholders
• Complete site checks and provide progress feedback to management
• Assist with snagging and final project completion
• Maintain professional standards when representing the company on client sites
• Work closely with senior management to develop into a strong, independent Site Manager

A growing specialist construction and installations company is looking for a driven Junior Site Manager to join its Gauteng operation.

The successful candidate will work closely with experienced management while taking responsibility for the coordination, supervision and smooth running of site activities.

Requirements
