Job summary

Greys Personnel is seeking a capable stock and production planning assistant in Woodstock, Cape Town. The role involves supporting daily production planning, scheduling, and inventory coordination to ensure materials are available for production.

You will work with ERP systems and stock control processes, requiring strong numerical ability, attention to detail and excellent English communication. Prior experience in manufacturing or FMCG is advantageous and the position is office-based in

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 is essential.
• Minimum 24 years' experience in production planning support or related roles.
• Stock management experience is essential.
• Excel proficiency and intermediate computer literacy.
• Good numerical ability and knowledge of stock reconciliations and forecasting.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Experience in manufacturing or FMCG is advantageous.
• Exposure to ERP/inventory software or production planning systems is beneficial.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily production planning, production scheduling and workflow coordination.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure raw materials and other production requirements are available when needed.
• Perform stock reconciliations, investigate inventory discrepancies and assist with stock control.
• Process and update production orders, inventory transactions and production documentation.
• Maintain accurate production records, stock reports and inventory data.
• Assist with material planning, quantity calculations and basic demand forecasting.
• Identify potential stock shortages and communicate issues that may affect production schedules.
• Liaise with relevant departments to coordinate material availability and production requirements.
• Update production and inventory information on internal systems.
• Provide administrative support to ensure production operations run efficiently.

• Previous stock management experience is essential.
