Job summary

Whm Recruitment is seeking a Production Planner in Krugersdorp to manage daily production trackers, lead meetings, and coordinate with Sales and Supply Chain. You will ensure timely order confirmations, maintain productivity dashboards and support 5S activities across the plant.

The role requires 5 years of manufacturing experience, strong planning capabilities, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills. A Post Matric qualification is advantageous, with a focus on process efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily production trackers by customer, sales order and product.
• Utilise back-order reports efficiently.
• Print and distribute production trackers to Team Leaders.
• Print and distribute original and amended order confirmations to production.
• Attend daily production meetings with Team Leaders, MD and SCM.
• Lead production meetings and provide Sales with customer order updates.
• Update monthly work centre and employee hours.
• Maintain month-end productivity dashboards for OPS meetings.
• Attend daily VDM meetings and provide management and team updates.
• Participate in and assist with 5S activities.
• Resolve material-related issues, including late or incorrect raw materials, with the Supply Chain Manager.
• Inform Team Leaders of new sales orders.
• Manage production materials, cutting lists and priority lists.
• Liaise daily with Sales and Supply Chain teams.
• Provide accurate lead times and due dates for new orders.
• Continuously improve planning strategies and systems.
• Ensure efficient employee utilisation across workstations.
• Monitor order progress and maintain production floor visibility.
• Compile employee gate passes.
