Job summary

C3 Resources invites applications for a Junior Process Engineer, recently qualified or with 0–3 years of experience, to join an experienced Process Engineering team in South Africa. You will work under senior engineers to gain hands-on experience in process design, calculations, and project implementation.

The role offers exposure to design documentation, BFDs/PFDs, equipment specifications and cross-disciplinary collaboration with mechanical, electrical and instrumentation teams, supporting

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of chemical engineering principles, mass and energy balances and process design.
• Exposure to process simulation software would be advantageous.
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mass and energy balances and process design calculations.
• Prepare and update Block Flow Diagrams (BFDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Support the preparation of equipment data sheets and technical specifications.
• Assist with process modelling, design documentation and technical reports.
• Participate in plant inspections, testing and commissioning activities.
• Support process optimisation and research and development initiatives.
• Work closely with mechanical, electrical and instrumentation engineering teams.
