C3 Resources is seeking a capable Process Engineer with extensive experience to join the Process Engineering Department in Centurion, South Africa. You will develop practical, cost-effective process solutions from design and modelling through to commissioning and testing, contributing to multidisciplinary projects.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Chemical Engineering from a recognised institution.
• 35 years' relevant process engineering experience.
• Experience in chemical processing, metallurgy, mining, gas cleaning or related process industries.
• Sound understanding of mass and energy balances, process equipment and engineering design documentation.
• Experience with process simulation and design calculations.
• Exposure to PFDs, P&IDs, HAZOP studies and commissioning activities.
• Strong analytical, technical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsabilités

• Develop mass and energy balances, process calculations and equipment specifications.
• Prepare BFDs, PFDs, P&IDs, control philosophies and process design reports.
• Perform process modelling, simulations and equipment sizing calculations.
• Prepare technical specifications, cost estimates and tender documentation.
• Determine utility requirements, insulation and heating specifications.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs and other process safety studies.
• Support plant inspections, commissioning, testing and performance evaluations.
• Prepare operating procedures and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and provide guidance to junior engineers.
• Take responsibility for assigned process engineering deliverables and smaller projects.
