Job summary

Schauenburg Systems is seeking a technically skilled technician to provide comprehensive electronic services for mining operations. The role focuses on installation, repair, certification and ongoing support of electronic systems at specified mines.

You will set up units, perform tests, conduct safety checks, and maintain equipment in line with company standards. Strong IT and electronics knowledge plus a valid license are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have N4 Electronic/Electrical qualification.
• 2-4 years of experience in electronics (hardware and software) and IT (hardware, networks and software).
• Knowledge of company product is preferred.
• Good computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Installation, repairing, certification and technical support of electronic products and systems to the highest technical and safety standards on mine sites.
• Set up and tests units to meet specified requirements.
• Quality checks all work as per company quality policy.
• Troubleshoot problems to determine root cause and recommend corrective action or escalate to senior level.
• Maintenance of electronic equipment and software to company standards and client scope of work.
• Reporting and recording further maintenance requirements.
• Assist with new projects.
• Operate hand tools and small power tools and understand their use.
• Liaise with other technical employees and customers on site to ensure quality and safety of work and that contractual obligations are met.
