Job summary

Schauenburg Systems seeks an on-site Electronic Technician to ensure safe, reliable operation of electronic systems for mining health, safety and productivity. The role covers installation, testing and maintenance across projects, with emphasis on quality, safety and client satisfaction.

Minimum requirements include N4 Electronic/Electrical and 2–4 years’ electronics/IT experience; a valid driver’s license and own vehicle are preferred for site mobility.

Qualifications

• N4 Electronic/Electrical qualification.
• 2–4 years’ experience in electronics (hardware and software) and IT (hardware, networks and software).

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, certify and provide technical support for electronic products and systems to high technical and safety standards.
• Set up and test units to meet specified requirements.
• Perform quality checks per company policy.
• Troubleshoot problems to determine root cause and escalate as needed.
• Maintain electronic equipment and software to company standards and client scope of work.
• Assist with new projects.
• Operate hand tools and small power tools safely.
• Complete required documentation for mine, customers and supervisors.
