Responsibilities

• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks.
• Wash, peel, chop, and prepare ingredients as directed.
• Ensure ingredients and supplies are readily available during service.
• Assist with plating and preparation of menu items when required.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and storage areas.
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Clean workstations, floors, walls, and food preparation areas.
• Dispose of waste and recyclables according to company procedures.
• Follow all food safety, HACCP, and hygiene regulations.
• Receive and check deliveries against orders.
• Store stock correctly in dry, chilled, and frozen storage areas.
• Rotate stock using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
• Report shortages, damaged stock, and supply issues to management.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Wear the required PPE and kitchen uniform at all times.
• Report hazards, accidents, equipment faults, and safety concerns immediately.
• Ensure safe use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Work closely with chefs, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service.
• Support all kitchen operations during busy service periods.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.
• Perform additional duties as requested by management.
