Job summary

Dante Personnel Recruitment (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Junior IT Technician to join a professional technical team in Nelspruit/Mbombela. The role offers exposure to the latest technology and hands-on experience across IT support, networks, hardware, software and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have Matric, an IT qualification or certifications, and hands-on IT experience. A valid driver’s license and reliable transport are required; standby after-hours participation is expected.

Qualifications

• Matric with IT-related tertiary qualification preferred.
• 3 years’ hands-on IT experience with relevant IT qualifications.
• 5 years’ hands-on IT experience if no formal IT qualification held.
• Valid driver’s license and own transport.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good knowledge of hardware and software support.
• Knowledge of Active Directory and user account administration.
• Knowledge of LAN/WLAN and network connectivity.
• Knowledge of network cabling and telephone systems.
• Service-orientated and professional approach.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Willingness to participate in an after-hours standby roster.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline IT support across hardware, software, networks and infrastructure in a busy environment.
• Assist with IT problems to minimise downtime for manufacturing and office operations.
