Job summary

rag-talent in Cape Town seeks a Junior Finance Manager to safeguard financial data before presenting to senior leadership. This in-office role focuses on quality control of reports and intercompany consolidated data, not daily processing.

The ideal candidate will bring SAICA training, a BCom in Accounting, and at least 2 years post-article experience in a commercial setting, with VAT and IFRS awareness.

Qualifications

• Must have completed SAICA-accredited articles.
• Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting (NQF Level 7) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years' post-article experience in a commercial accounting or financial management role.

Responsibilities

• Primary gatekeeper for all outgoing financial data, ensuring reports, reconciliations and packs are complete and accurate.
• Monitor and review monthly age analyses for debtors and creditors, ensuring ledgers are reconciled.
• Analytical review of monthly management accounts, interrogating variances and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review monthly VAT reconciliations and SARS deadline compliance.
• Maintain and coordinate the monthly finance calendar and drive reporting deadlines.
• Assist with intercompany reconciliations and support consolidated reporting across international entities.
