Cortez Trading (Pty) Ltd in Sandton is seeking a Credit/Data Analyst to join the credit team. You will create campaign files, optimise processes, build scorecards, and mine data to improve lending opportunities.

You will transform raw data into actionable insights, develop SAS-based models, and collaborate with sales and digital teams to deliver effective lending solutions. Candidates should have a degree in relevant field and 3-5 years of credit/analytics experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or BMI.
• 3-5 years of experience in a Credit Analyst or Data Analyst role.
• SAS (required); Advanced Excel (required).
• Strong problem solving abilities.
• Self-learning attitude and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsabilités

• Transform raw transactional data into final campaign files for lending.
• Data mining in SAS to increase lending opportunity size.
• Enhance and rebuild models used for application scoring and revenue forecasting.
• Define the customer experience golden thread and ensure delivery through sales and Marketing's digital team.
• Build performance monitoring reports for products offered.
• Analyse new data sets for potential lending opportunities.

Client is looking for an individual to join our credit team.

You will be involved in various parts of the business, including creating campaign files, optimising and automating processes, building scorecards, and data mining.

Requirements

• Ǫualification: Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or BMI.
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a Credit Analyst or Data Analyst role.
• Computer Languages: SAS (required); Advanced Excel (required).
• Problem solving.
• Self-learner: ability to take on a problem and come up with a solution creatively.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Transforming raw transactional data into a final campaign file which will be used for lending.
• Data mining in SAS in order to increase the lending opportunity size.
• Enhance and rebuild existing models used for application scoring and revenue forecasting.
• Define the customer experience golden thread and ensure delivery through the sales team and Marketing division’s digital team.
• Build performance monitoring reports for the various products offered by Client.
• Analysing new sets of data for potential lending opportunities.
