Old Mutual Life Assurance Company (SA) Ltd in Cape Town is seeking a Finance Data Warehouse Analyst to support the FDW team in delivering daily operations and strategic initiatives, managing requests and maintaining master data.

You will build and train users on the Finance Data Warehouse application, communicate with stakeholders, and contribute to financial hierarchies and reconciliations across multiple finance systems.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in analytical, data management or BI within finance or operations.
• Strong understanding of General Ledger and Trial Balance reconciliation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with work management platforms and reconciliation systems.
• Knowledge of SQL/Redshift is advantageous.

Job Description The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Finance Data Warehouse (FDW) team in the delivery of both daily operational and strategic initiatives. This includes managing and distributing work requests, master data maintenance, maintaining and updating priorities on the Jira dashboard, and ensuring the efficient execution of team activities. The role requires a strong client-focused approach, taking ownership of client needs and proactively communicating any service events that may impact their daily operations. The individual will be expected to build and maintain strong client relationships, while also providing training and support to both new and existing users of the Finance Data Warehouse application. This role resides within the Group Finance Enablement Team. The person will be responsible for interacting with the Finance Data Warehouse Stakeholders.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related fields 2-3 years’ analytical, data management and/or BI experience within a finance, reconciliation, accounting, or operational support environment.
• Strong understanding of General Ledger and Trial Balance reconciliation processes
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and investigation skills
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities
• Experience with on work management platforms
• Experience with reconciliation systems
• Knowledge of SQL, Redshift and database querying would be advantageous
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
