Job summary

Old Mutual South Africa is seeking a Finance Data Warehouse Analyst to support the FDW team in delivering daily operations and strategic initiatives. You will manage work requests, master data, and Jira priorities while ensuring excellent client communication and stakeholder engagement.

The role requires 2-3 years in analytics/BI within finance, strong GL/Trial Balance knowledge, and the ability to build self-service BI reports.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related field.
• 2-3 years’ analytical, data management and/or BI experience within a finance, reconciliation, accounting, or operational support environment.
• Strong understanding of General Ledger and Trial Balance reconciliation processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and investigation skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Experience with on work management platforms.
• Experience with reconciliation systems.
• Knowledge of SQL, Redshift and database querying would be advantageous.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Finance Data Warehouse (FDW) team in the delivery of both daily operational and strategic initiatives. This includes managing and distributing work requests, master data maintenance, maintaining and updating priorities on the Jira dashboard, and ensuring the efficient execution of team activities.

The role requires a strong client-focused approach, taking ownership of client needs and proactively communicating any service events that may impact their daily operations. The individual will be expected to build and maintain strong client relationships, while also providing training and support to both new and existing users of the Finance Data Warehouse application.

This role resides within the Group Finance Enablement Team. The person will be responsible for interacting with the Finance Data Warehouse Stakeholders.
