Job summary

Staff Connection - Hospitality Recruitment and Executive Search is seeking a Junior Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations in Gauteng, JHB East Suburbs. The role offers a monthly CTC of R18k–R20k and requires accuracy, organisation and strong MS Office skills.

Ideal candidates will have 2–3 years of experience in FMCG finance, own transport and experience with accounting software. Omni experience is a plus, with duties including reconciliations and supplier/payable work.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting or a related qualification.
• 2–3 years’ working experience.
• FMCG industry experience is highly advantageous.
• Own reliable transportation is essential.
• Computer literate with good working knowledge of MS Office.
• Accounting software experience.
• Omni experience will be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and numerical ability.
• Good organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records through to trial balance
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including cashbook entries
• Perform bank and control account reconciliations
• Provide accounting and administrative support to the Senior Accountant
• Maintain strict confidentiality of financial information
• Assist with general bookkeeping and administrative duties as required
