Under supervision, you will assist in testing controls, gathering financial data, and preparing working papers. The position provides comprehensive training, mentorship, and exposure to multiple industries in a coastal setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Pursuing or completed professional qualification (e.g., SAIPA, ACCA, CA(SA) articles) advantageous.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and auditing standards.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication; ability to work in a team.
• Driver's license and own transport may be required for client visits.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior auditors in conducting financial statement audits for various clients.
• Perform audit procedures, including testing of internal controls and substantive testing of account balances.
• Gather and analyze financial data and documentation.
• Prepare audit working papers and document findings clearly and concisely.
• Identify potential audit issues and communicate them to the audit team.
• Participate in client meetings and assist in gathering information.
• Stay updated on auditing standards and best practices.
• Contribute to the overall success of the audit team through collaboration and support.
• Assist in the preparation of audit reports and management letters.
• Maintain professional skepticism and objectivity throughout the audit process.
