Job summary

Placements24 seeks an Auditor for its client in Sandton to plan and execute financial statement audits in line with ISAs and regulatory requirements, serving a diverse portfolio of clients.

The role emphasizes assessing internal controls, performing substantive testing, and clear documentation. You will collaborate with audit managers and client teams to deliver high-quality assurance and build strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Completion of articles or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., CA(SA), ACCA).
• Minimum of 2 years of post-articles experience in external audit.
• Proficiency with auditing software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and auditing standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute financial statement audits in accordance with ISAs and relevant regulations.
• Assess client's internal control systems and identify areas for improvement.
• Perform substantive testing, analytical procedures, and control testing.
• Document audit procedures and findings clearly and concisely.
• Communicate audit progress, issues, and recommendations to audit seniors and managers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with client personnel.
