Placements24 in George is seeking a junior Architectural Assistant eager to learn and contribute to a range of projects, from concept design to construction documentation. The role offers mentorship and exposure to CAD/BIM workflows in a supportive, collaborative environment.

The position follows a hybrid work model, combining office collaboration with flexible remote work. Ideal candidates will have a relevant degree or diploma, basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Completed degree or diploma in Architecture or Architectural Technology.
• Foundational knowledge of architectural design principles.
• Familiarity with CAD/BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit).
• Strong visual, graphic, and communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn in a professional setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of architectural drawings, models, and presentations using CAD and BIM software.
• Support senior team members in developing design concepts and visualisations.
• Help coordinate project documentation and specifications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct research on building materials, building codes , and regulatory requirements as needed.
• Participate in site visits and assist with measuring and documenting existing conditions.
• Maintain digital and physical project files, ensuring efficient organization and accessibility.
