Placements24 is seeking a motivated Junior Architect for an internship with a strong emphasis on sustainable design and green building technologies. You will support senior architects in developing concepts, drafting drawings, and contributing to project delivery in Randburg, Gauteng.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, shows enthusiasm to learn, and has basic proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• Foundational knowledge in sustainable design and green building practices.
• Familiarity with SA building regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior architects with design development and concept sketching.
• Prepare architectural drawings, plans, and presentations using CAD and BIM software.
• Research sustainable materials, technologies, and strategies for projects.
• Support the preparation of technical documentation and specifications.
• Participate in site visits and assist with site analysis.
• Coordinate with consultants and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to design reviews and team discussions.
• Maintain project files and documentation in an organized manner.
