Junior Application Manager

Job summary

Boardroom Appointments seeks a Junior Application Manager for a contract position in Midrand, South Africa. The role requires a Computer Science degree and 3 years in application development or IT support, with strong project management skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.

You will support day-to-day operations of Servest Business Systems, assist with vendor coordination, and help optimize the application portfolio alongside the Head of Applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3 years of experience as an application developer or computer programmer.
• Strong project management skills and ability to work effectively with other departments.
• Experience with databases, spreadsheets, and reports is preferred.
• 3 years of experience with Application Development and/or IT Support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operations of the current Servest Business Systems.
• Support continued day to day operations of current third-party applications.
• Knowledge and experience of Microsoft applications, including Office with focus on Excel.
• 1st and 2nd Line support of business systems resolve any reported problems.
• Facilitating incidents (between customer and 3rd party vendors).
• To take ownership of user problems and be pro-active when dealing with user issues.
• Respond to enquiries from clients and help them resolve any issues relating to Business Systems.
• To elevate more complex calls to the relevant Systems Manager.
• Assist setting up vendor meetings.
• Assist the Head of Applications to build a better understanding of the application portfolio.
• Assist the Head of Applications in understanding of the Servest business model and how applications can assist business
