Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking an Applications and Business Systems Specialist to implement and maintain the existing application portfolio across the business. You will work with a cross-functional team to ensure dedicated support, development and testing resources for each application, and help integrate systems to operate as one cohesive platform.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT and experience with SDLC, web applications, and system administration practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• 5 years of work experience in a professional business development role preferred.
• Knowledge of the latest technology and systems administration practices, including Microsoft Access, SQL Server, Oracle and Microsoft Exchange preferred.
• Experience in designing and developing web applications preferred.
• Experience with architecting and developing web applications.
• Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC), Software testing, and project management concepts.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the existing application portfolio
• Work with a cross-functional team to ensure each application has its own dedicated support, development and testing resources
• Assist in making sure all systems are integrated together as one system, so the whole company can benefit from using it efficiently
• Build awareness of application, infrastructure, and security usage through routine and proactive monitoring and measurement activities
• Enforce compliance with infrastructure and software policies and standards
• Monitor enterprise systems, networks and technology for operational weaknesses
• Build the software architecture diagrams
• Build the Company's application library
• Obtain licensing of various software
• Facilitate incidents (between customer and 3rd party vendor)
