Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (e.g., BCompt, BAcc).
• Solid understanding of GAAP/IFRS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of accounting software is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and manage time efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and examining financial records, general ledger accounts, and journal entries.
• Perform bank reconciliations and prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support the tax compliance team with documentation and tax returns.
• Aid in audit preparation by organizing financial information and responding to auditor requests.
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure data integrity.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices.
