Job summary

Aspen Logistics in Germiston is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. You will support accurate and timely financial processing and month-end execution across multiple entities, with a focus on cashbooks, reconciliations, VAT and fixed assets.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Eclipse ERP is a plus and you will collaborate across SA and Botswana operations.

Qualifications

• Matric; Diploma or BCom in Accounting or Finance (essential).
• 1–2 years' accounting experience.
• Experience in transport/logistics is advantageous.
• Experience with Botswana entities and BURS requirements is a strong advantage.
• Ability to work confidently within a multi-entity finance environment.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with Eclipse ERP will be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Process daily cashbooks across multiple bank accounts and entities.
• Maintain daily cashflow schedules and resolve outstanding items.
• Prepare supplier and statutory payment batches for approval.
• Post month-end journals including accruals, prepayments, depreciation.
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register and GL allocations.
• Prepare VAT reconciliations and assist SARS and BURS compliance.
• Complete balance sheet, debtor, creditor and intercompany reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end schedules and management accounts preparation.
• Support billing schedules and other reconciliations.
• Provide accounting support across SA and Botswana operations.
