Job summary

Communicate Recruitment is seeking a junior accounting professional in Johannesburg to support daily financial processes. The role involves processing entries, reconciliations, and month-end support across a dynamic finance team.

Candidates should have a BCom in Accounting or a related degree, with SAIPA articles advantageous for progression. SA residents or those with SA work permits will be considered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Process accounting entries and financial transactions
• Assist with monthly reconciliations and reporting requirements
• Prepare supporting schedules for month-end procedures
• Reconcile bank accounts, creditors and debtor balances
• Assist with maintaining accurate financial records
• Support VAT and statutory reporting processes
• Perform fixed asset and inventory reconciliations
• Assist with audit preparation and finance administration
• Process cashbook transactions and payments
• Provide support to the finance team on various accounting projects
