Clinics Staffing is seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Johannesburg South. You will assist in maintaining financial records, support close processes, and help ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field and familiarity with accounting software. This entry-level role offers learning opportunities and a collaborative, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial records, including ledgers, journals, and balance sheets.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Help with accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements and cash flow forecasts.
• Support the audit process by providing necessary documentation and information to auditors.
• Maintain and update financial databases and accounting software.
• Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and reporting.
• Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices.
