Job summary

Red Ember Recruitment (PTY) Ltd is seeking a diligent Junior Accountant to join a Pretoria-based accounting and tax practice. The role offers exposure to bookkeeping, financial reporting, tax compliance, and SARS-related matters, supporting a portfolio of individual and business clients.

You will work closely with senior staff, develop practical accounting and tax knowledge through on-the-job training, and contribute to accurate financial records while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• BCom in Accounting/Finance or current studies toward it.
• Grade 12 Accounting as a subject for juniors.
• Strong numerical and analytical ability.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Organizational and time-management skills.
• Good communication with clients and SARS.
• Ability to work independently while learning.

Responsibilities

• Handle bookkeeping and cashbook processing.
• Assist with financial reporting and VAT/tax compliance.
• Communicate with SARS on behalf of clients.
• Support a portfolio of individual and business clients.
