Red Ember Recruitment (PTY) Ltd is seeking a Financial Accountant to join our client in Centurion. The role focuses on maintaining accurate accounting records, month-end close, reconciliations, VAT submissions, and supporting management with financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years’ experience, completed SAICA or SAIPA articles, and exposure to Sage 50, Sage Pastel, or CaseWare. The position requires independence, deadline discipline, and a strong technical accounting background.

Qualifications

• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles (advantageous).
• 5+ years’ experience in accounting and financial reporting.
• Experience with VAT, payroll, taxation and audits.
• Exposure to multiple entities/companies is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process monthly journals and close schedules.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations; maintain fixed asset register.

Red Ember Recruitment is seeking a Financial Accountant to join our client based in Centurion.

• The successful candidate will be responsible for maintainingaccurate accounting records, performing month-end accounting functions,preparing reconciliations, ensuring statutory compliance, and supportingmanagement with financial reporting.
• This positionrequires an individual who is able to work independently and confidently managedeadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• The ideal candidate willbe capable of managing the accounting function through to trial balance withminimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process monthly journals.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain the fixed asset register.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist in preparing management accounts.

Tax and Compliance

• Prepare VAT reconciliations and assist with VATsubmissions.
• Assist with EMP201, EMP501 and other SARSsubmissions.
• Prepare supporting schedules for tax and auditpurposes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards andcompany policies.

AccountsReceivable and Payable

• Prepare customer and supplier reconciliations.
• Review outstanding debtors and creditors.
• Assist with debt collection on arrear debtors.
• Assist with payment preparations.

Reporting Ad Finance Support

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles (advantageous).

Experience:

• 5+ years’ experience.

• Exposure to VAT, payroll, taxation and audits.
• Experience working with multiple companies/entitieswill be advantageous.
• Experience with Sage 50, Sage Pastel, CaseWare orsimilar accounting software will be advantageous.
