Job summary

NY Consulting AB is seeking a Junior 3-Phase Wireman to support installation and commissioning of residential and commercial solar PV systems. You will help ensure compliant electrical work, assist with CoCs, and participate in testing and fault-finding to enable safe system handovers.

Applicants should hold a registered 3-Phase Wireman qualification and possess a valid driver's license. Solar PV experience and knowledge of SANS 10142 standards are advantageous.

Role Purpose:

The Junior 3‑Phase Wireman supports the installation and commissioning of residential and commercial solar PV systems. The role ensures safe, compliant electrical work in line with SANS standards and assists senior technical staff with system integration, testing, and fault‑finding.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Electrical Installation & Compliance

·Ensure all installation work done complies with SANS standards and company quality requirements

·Support senior electricians with issuing of CoC’s

·Assist with commissioning, testing, and system configuration.

·Conduct basic fault-finding and troubleshooting

3.Safety & Quality Assurance

·Follow all OHS Act requirements and company safety procedures

·Conduct pre-installation checks and risk assessments

·Maintain high workmanship standards and report non-compliance

4.Documentation & Reporting

·Complete installation checklists and job cards

·Assist with compliance documentation and system handover packs

·Report progress, issues, and risks to the Compliance Supervisor

• Registered 3-Phase Wireman with the Department of Labour
• Valid Wireman’s Licence card (must already have been collected)
• Solar PV installation experience advantageous
• Knowledge of SANS 10142-1, SANA 10142-1-2 requirements
• Valid driver’s licence (Code B or higher)
• Ability to issue or assist with CoC’s under supervision
• Physically fit and able to work at heights
