Job summary

UD Trucks is seeking a purchasing-focused professional in Pretoria to design, develop and test electrical devices/systems ensuring safety and efficiency per UD Trucks requirements.

Responsibilities include securing supplier relationships, monitoring market trends, and driving cost-saving initiatives through cross-functional collaboration with engineering, logistics and plant teams.

Qualifications

• University degree or diploma in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
• Experience in Purchasing would be an added advantage.

• Secure supplier relationships by conducting quarterly Business Review Meetings.
• Monitor market and technology developments and address changes through defined purchasing strategies.
• Closely monitor supplier performance and take corrective actions where needed.
• Work with internal stakeholders and suppliers to secure project deliveries on QDCFTSR for start-up and maintenance projects.
• Drive continuous cost improvement activities and generate cost savings through creativity and cross-functional workshops.
