Job summary

UD Trucks is looking for an Electrical Engineer to design, develop and test electrical devices and systems in a manufacturing setting in Pretoria. You will ensure safety and efficiency in accordance with UD Trucks requirements.

You will design, implement, maintain and improve electrical products, interpret technical drawings, and work with renewable energy sources while investigating failures and maintaining plant electrical systems.

Qualifications

• B.Eng/BSc/BTech/Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Essential).
• Computer literacy (Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD, Solid Edge, engineering software).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain and improve electrical products and systems.
• Understand and implement designs from technical drawings.
• Work with renewable energy sources.
• Investigate electrical failures or unexpected maintenance problems.
• Inspect the installation and adjustment of electrical systems in the plants.
• Draw up project plans, create models, prototypes and circuit diagrams for high and low voltage electrical equipment.
• Maintain building services, such as lighting, heating, ventilation and lift systems.
