Job summary

ManpowerGroup in Cape Town is seeking a Shift Coordinator to supervise and coordinate production in a fast-paced food manufacturing setting. The role focuses on meeting production targets while upholding quality and safety standards.

You will lead a team, monitor processes, and drive continuous improvement through coaching and precise reporting. The position requires hands-on leadership and adherence to GMP, HACCP, and ISO norms within Western Cape operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production equipment according to standard operating procedures.
• Ensure production plans are achieved while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Conduct routine process checks, quality inspections, and production reporting.
• Manage product changeovers and equipment start-ups/shutdowns.
• Support first-line maintenance and preventative maintenance activities.
• Lead and motivate production team members to achieve operational targets.
• Drive housekeeping, hygiene, GMP, HACCP, and health & safety compliance.
• Identify production losses, process deviations, and improvement opportunities.
• Assist with coaching, training, and performance management of operators.
• Maintain accurate production and operational documentation.

• Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, health and safety regulations, HACCP, ISO standards, and manufacturing best practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot process issues and make sound operational decisions.
