Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years experience as a legal secretary.

  • Secretarial / Legal Secretarial diploma or Paralegal qualification is advantageous.

Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare pre-bills and billing memos for client invoicing
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to legal professionals including diary management and telephone coverage
  • Copy-type complex legal documents including legal opinions and correspondence
  • Draft standard form documents such as engagement letters
  • Incorporate amendments to legal documentation
  • Manage client files and maintain organized filing systems
  • Handle general office and personal administration duties
  • Collaborate with accounts department on debtor management
  • Administer FICA requirements and ensure compliance completion
Essential Requirements
  • Minimum 3+ years experience as a legal secretary
  • Matric qualification (essential)
  • Expert-level proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Secretarial / Legal Secretarial diploma or Paralegal qualification (advantageous)
  • Experience with Aderant Expert (CMS) accounting system (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of FileSite document management (advantageous)
