Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking an Inside Sales Support Intern to assist internal teams and customers with quotations, pricing requests, system support, and sales operations from Johannesburg on a three‑day on‑site schedule per week. The role provides exposure to CRM tools, BI platforms, and automation inside a multinational tech environment.

You will report to the Inside Sales Manager and contribute to pricing, data entry, and reporting, while gaining hands-on experience in digital business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or IT related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and sales processes preferred.

Job description

As an Inside Sales Support Intern, you’ll assist both internal teams and external customers by managing quotations, pricing requests, system support, and sales operations. This internship provides hands‑on exposure to sales processes, digital business systems, and customer relationship management within a leading multinational technology environment.You will report directly to the Inside Sales Manager and work on‑site in Johannesburg three days a week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) in line with Rockwell Automation’s hybrid policy

Responsibilities

• Prepare product quotations and initiate Special Price Agreements (SPA)
• Handle product and pricing queries and assist with competitor product conversions
• Support and manage systems such as Dynamics CRM, Power BI, SAP Fiori, PRM, and Anaplan
• Participate in system training, data entry, and report generation activities
• Assist with channel partner programs, customer onboarding, and compliance processes (e g , anti-bribery due diligence)
• Contribute to lead validation, business development initiatives, and marketing support such as customer feedback surveys
• Help streamline sales operations and ensure efficient internal communication
• Support pricing and business intelligence activities to enhance the customer experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or equivalent qualification
• Alternatively, a Bachelor’s or Diploma in Information Technology (or related field)
