Job summary

Railway Safety Regulator invites applications for the Human Resources Intern-2027 Graduate Internship Program based in Johannesburg. This structured internship focuses on on-the-job training to gain practical experience, with no guaranteed full-time employment upon completion.

Responsibilities include recruitment support, onboarding, records management, training coordination, payroll assistance, compliance tasks, and employee relations support.

Qualifications

• Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.
• Previous Internship Participation: Should not have previously participated in an internship programme at any public or private institution.
• Application Documents: Submit a detailed CV, a cover letter, and certified copies of your Identity Document and qualifications.
• If applicable, include SAQA accreditation for foreign qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment and Selection Support: Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job advertisements, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
• Onboarding Coordination: Help prepare onboarding materials, facilitate orientation sessions, and ensure new employees have completed all necessary documentation.
• Employee Records Management: Maintain and update both digital and physical employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Training and Development Assistance: Assist in organizing training sessions and workshops, prepare training materials, and track employee attendance and progress.
• Payroll and Benefits Administration: Support payroll processing by ensuring accurate input of employee information and assist in administering employee benefits programs.
• HR Compliance and Reporting: Assist in ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies, and help prepare HR-related reports as needed.
• Employee Relations Support: Assist in addressing employee queries, support the resolution of grievances, and participate in employee engagement initiatives.

Education
