Technology Innovation Agency in Durban is offering two Bioprocessing Internships to support research, development and project management within the Bioprocessing Platform. You will perform lab duties, assist with administrative tasks, track milestones, and prepare scientific reports for team review.

The role requires a BSc in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a BAS in Biotechnology or Chemistry, and 0–2 years of entry-level experience.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years work experience (entry-level internship).

Responsabilités

• Research & Laboratory Duties: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, collect, record, and analyze data, support quality control and safety.
• Project Support: Assist with administrative and project management tasks, track milestones, prepare reports or presentations.
• Stakeholder Relations: Liaise with internal team members and researchers to execute tasks and support meetings.
• Governance & Compliance: Adhere to SHE systems, SOPs, and quality protocols while maintaining confidentiality.

The Technology Innovation Agency (TIA) is offering two Bioprocessing Internships within its Bioprocessing Platform in Durban. The role is designed to support research, development, and general project management activities, helping stimulate technological innovation with positive socio-economic impacts.

Responsibilities

• Research & Laboratory Duties: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment under supervision, collect, record, and analyze experimental data, and support quality control and safety standards.
• Project Support: Assist with administrative and project management tasks within the Bioprocessing Platform, tracking milestones and preparing scientific reports or presentations.
• Stakeholder Relations: Liaise with internal team members, research scientists, and technicians to execute project tasks and support team meetings.
• Governance & Compliance: Strictly adhere to laboratory Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) systems, SOPs, and quality management protocols while maintaining information confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a BSc in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biotechnology or Chemistry
• 0 to 2 years of work experience (entry-level internship position)
