Placements24 is seeking a Research Scientist to join their Biotechnology team in Port Elizabeth. This on-site role focuses on laboratory-based research to discover and develop biotechnological solutions and advance the company's pipeline.

You will design molecular biology, cell biology, and biochemistry experiments, develop novel assays, analyze data, and collaborate across teams, while maintaining meticulous lab records and preparing technical reports.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or related life science.
• 2–4 years of post-doctoral or industry experience in a research setting.
• Proficiency in PCR, ELISA, cell culture, and Western blotting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• On-site laboratory work in Port Elizabeth.
