Job summary

The Unlimited is seeking an IT Technical Lead to design AI-powered business systems and lead multidisciplinary teams in Durban. You will bridge business stakeholders, architecture, data, AI engineering and delivery to create measurable value.

You’ll translate opportunities into scalable AI-enabled solutions, own architecture decisions and drive AI-first delivery while developing the next generation of technical leaders within the organisation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, SWE, CE, IS, IT or Data Science, or 5+ years relevant experience.
• 5+ years’ experience building software systems.
• 2+ years’ experience leading technical teams.
• Experience owning architecture decisions.
• Strong skills in business problem-solving, solution architecture, AI-native delivery, systems integration and stakeholder leadership.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to adapt confidently to change.

If you have the following:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology or Data Science or 5+ years of relevant demonstrable experience
• 5+ years’ experience building software systems
• 2+ years’ experience leading technical teams
• Experience owning architecture decisions
• Strong skills in business problem-solving, solution architecture, AI-native delivery, systems integration and stakeholder leadership
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to adapt confidently to change
