Job summary

Network Finance in Gauteng is seeking a data/automation specialist to optimize our Google Workspace usage, automate workflows, and deliver real-time insights.

You will work with SQL, Power BI, Looker Studio, and Tableau to build dashboards and reports, while simplifying complex AI-driven solutions for non-technical colleagues.

This role emphasizes proactive problem solving, clear communication, and the ability to translate technical concepts into practical improvements across teams.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proficient with Excel and Google Sheets, including advanced formulas and pivot tables.
• Demonstrates self-motivation and proactive problem solving.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.
• Basic SQL querying skills.
• Experience building dashboards with Power BI / DAX.
• Familiarity with Tableau or Looker Studio.
• Experience with Google Apps Script and AI automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Google Workspace Mastery: Provide internal support for Google Apps (Sheets, Docs, Drive, etc.) and optimize how our teams use them.
• AI‑Enhanced Problem Solving: Act as the first point of contact for tech queries, leveraging automation and AI tools to troubleshoot with a “can‑do” attitude.
• Intelligent Tool Building: Assist in developing internal tools, automated workflows, and AI‑driven solutions that make operations smarter.
• Data Integrity & Insights: Manage and report on data, ensuring leadership has accurate, real‑time insights powered by advanced analytics.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Excel & Google Sheets Expertise: Comfortable with VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, complex formulas, and ideally Google Sheets’ ArrayFormula.
• Self‑Motivation: You don’t wait to be told-you see a problem and design a solution.
• Communication: Ability to explain technical and AI‑driven solutions clearly to non‑technical colleagues.
• SQL: Basic querying skills.
• Power BI / DAX: Experience building or maintaining dashboards.
