The role is primarily support-focused with administrative and coordination responsibilities. Hybrid: 4 days in office 1 WFH day (depending on in-office requirements) The IT End-user Support & Operations Coordinator acts as the operational bridge between business users, technical teams, and service providers, ensuring a consistent and positive end-user experience across the Spur Group. The role is responsible for delivering first-line technical support, coordinating day-to-day IT operations, and maintaining service quality through effective service desk management, user support, vendor coordination, procurement administration, asset lifecycle management, and user adoption initiatives. The position plays a key role in ensuring efficient, user-focused IT service delivery and operational continuity across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
End User Support & Experience
- Provide first-line technical support for incidents and service requests.
- Work closely with internal teams and external support partners
- Assist users with Microsoft 365 applications, devices, and workplace technology.
- Act as an advocate for the end-user experience by identifying recurring pain points and recommending improvements.
- Ensure users receive timely communication and updates on requests.
- Support meeting room technology and collaboration tools.
- Assist with user onboarding, offboarding and workstation deployments.
- Contribute to end-user adoption and awareness initiatives.
IT Operations Coordination
- Coordinate daily operational activities across the IT Services team.
- Monitor incidents, service requests, and operational tasks to ensure timely resolution.
- Track and follow up on outstanding actions assigned to vendors and support partners.
- Assist with operational reporting and service performance monitoring.
- Maintain IT operational documentation and procedures.
Procurement & Vendor Coordination
- Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers for hardware, software, and IT services.
- Process and track request-for-quote (RFQ) activities.
- Coordinate purchasing requests and ensure supporting documentation is complete.
- Liaise with vendors regarding orders, deliveries, renewals, and support matters.
- Track procurement requests through completion.
- Support the IT Service Delivery Manager with monthly supplier invoice validation, tracking, and submission preparation.
Asset & Lifecycle Management
- Maintain and oversee accurate IT asset registers.
- Coordinate device allocation, replacement and recovery processes.
- Track hardware warranties, repairs, and disposals.
- Assist with software license management and renewals.
- Participate in periodic asset audits.
Service Desk Administration
- Log, categorize, prioritize, and assign support requests.
- Ensure tickets are updated and managed according to agreed service levels.
- Escalate incidents to technical specialists and third-party technology partners where required.
- Maintain knowledge base articles and user documentation.
Success Measures
