Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an IT Project Manager in Gauteng (Tembisa area) to lead technology-focused projects, including IT infrastructure upgrades, software deployments, and digital transformation initiatives. You will collaborate with IT teams, business units and external vendors to ensure timely delivery, risk management, and alignment with security standards.

A Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of IT project management experience, plus proficiency with Agile, Waterfall, Jira, Asana or MS Project,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of experience managing IT projects in software, infrastructure or cybersecurity.
• Proficiency with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience with IT project management tools (Jira, Asana, MS Project).
• Strong understanding of ITIL and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities in technical environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage the lifecycle of IT projects from initiation to closure.
• Coordinate with IT teams to reach project milestones.
• Develop detailed schedules, budgets, and resource plans for IT initiatives.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and dependencies.
• Facilitate communication between technical teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.
