About the Role

Our client, a rapidly growing retail chain, is seeking a diligent and experienced IT Project Manager to oversee the successful rollout of a new enterprise‑wide software system. This role is office‑based in Mossel Bay, Western Cape , and requires a hands‑on approach to managing all facets of the implementation lifecycle. You will be responsible for coordinating internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration and adoption of the new software across all branches. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in managing complex IT projects, particularly software deployments. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end lifecycle of IT projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate activities of cross‑functional project teams, including IT specialists, business analysts, and end‑users.
• Liaise with software vendors to ensure timely delivery, implementation, and support of the new enterprise system.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders, providing regular status updates and managing expectations.
• Oversee user training and support initiatives to ensure successful adoption of the new software.
• Monitor project progress against milestones and budget, making necessary adjustments to ensure successful completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a strong focus on enterprise software rollouts.
• Proven experience managing complex software implementation projects from start to finish.
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in using project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira) and standard office applications.
