Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an IT Project Manager to drive critical technology initiatives from our Benoni office. You will lead software development, system implementations and infrastructure upgrades, coordinating with IT teams, stakeholders and vendors to ensure strategic alignment and tangible business value.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in IT project management, strong SDLC and agile experience, and a solid grasp of cybersecurity and cloud technologies. A hybrid work model is supported.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of IT project management experience.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly advantageous.
• Experience with SDLC, agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), and IT infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of IT systems, networks, cybersecurity and cloud technologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Hybrid work model—ability to manage tasks on-site and remotely.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of IT projects from initiation to closure.
• Define scope, objectives, requirements, and success metrics with IT leadership.
• Develop detailed project plans including timelines, budgets, resources and risks.
• Coordinate internal IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders for seamless execution.
• Communicate status, risks and issues to management and stakeholders.
• Ensure projects deliver on time, budget and quality standards.
