Job summary

Calibrate People is seeking an IT Manager to shape, secure, and scale our client's technology landscape across South Africa, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. You will own the stability, resilience, and governance of the IT function for 250–500 professionals in regulated settings.

You will drive cybersecurity, data protection, and ISO-aligned controls while mentoring a team and partnering with vendors to deliver cost-conscious, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven depth in regulated environments with ownership of IT functions.
• Experience managing infrastructure, operations, and security leadership.
• Experience supporting 250+ users across distributed or multi-site operations.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft-based environments and networking.
• Ability to implement cybersecurity controls and ISO-aligned readiness.
• Understanding GDPR/POPIA and other financial-sector protections.
• Experience managing IT budgets, vendors, and contracts.
• Proven leadership of service desk and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT strategy, governance, and service delivery across jurisdictions.
• Oversee networks, endpoints, cloud, and backup/recovery architecture.
• Drive cybersecurity strategy, risk management, and incident response.
• Ensure data protection, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Govern software licensing, procurement, and cost discipline.
• Manage user lifecycle, access control, and device management.
• Mentor IT team, optimize service desk performance, and reporting.
• Develop and execute an ISO-aligned information security programme.
• Oversee vendor relationships and technology contracts.
• Plan budgets and business continuity/disaster recovery readiness.
