Job summary

Placements24's client in Polokwane is seeking a results-driven Project Manager to lead IT infrastructure initiatives, from network upgrades to data centre deployments, on-site.

You will coordinate with internal IT teams and external vendors, manage schedules and budgets, ensure security and regulatory compliance, and deliver reliable, scalable systems that support operations. 5+ years PM experience in IT infra and PMP certification are strong assets; a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience focused on IT infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of networking, servers, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and data centre operations.
• Experience with budgets and vendor relationships.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• PMP or similar project management certification is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of IT infrastructure projects, from initiation to closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Oversee the procurement, installation, and configuration of IT hardware, software, and network components.
• Coordinate with internal IT teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.
• Ensure all infrastructure projects comply with security policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
